EVS-16 Beijing

1999's EVS was held in Beijing.
Luciole had appeared in EVS13 Osaka Japan, 14 Florida, and 15 Brussels. It was the plan to end in EVS15 to show Luciole. But EVS16 was held in Asia, Luciole appeared EVS16 also.
This time EVS16, it was expected Japanese car makers to contribute to the symposium. That didn't become a reality, for example Ride&Drive was poor. No Japanese EVs except Luciole entried to R&D. Actually big risk to do someting in China was anxiety for everybody.
